Amazing NEW Feature of SOLIDWORKS (3D sketch mirror)

In this post, I will mention amazing feature that became available in SOLIDWORKS after 2018. This feature is 3D sketch mirror, I will mention how to use it and the way it was done in other old versions if it is available.

The steps for it are very similar for creating 2D mirror, first step is to decide the entities to mirror, then, choose the mirror plane to mirror about rather than mirror line in 2d sketch, see the following video,


The other way, to create 3D Sketch mirror, is to generate surface from the sketch, then, make body mirror for this surface, after that, we can generate a sketch for the border of the mirrored surface using convert entities tool. See the following tutorial video for more details.
